Hockey..............?

when you play hockey at a rink, and you either take a really hard slapshot and it breaks the glass, or you hit someone really hard and it breaks the glass, do you actually pay for a new glass panel? or is it just considered an accident that happens in the game every so often?|||The rink will pay for it always UNLESS you use your stick and slam it along the glass and or butt end it. then you will definitely get fined!|||If it occurs during a game, then you are fine, and the league should take care of it, but if it is at practice, or at public ice times, or something like that, you may have to help out in paying for a new pane of glass.





In the NHL, they cover everything, but it isn't like the glass is all that expensive for them, they have millions of dollars.|||Accident and you should never have to pay.|||No, you don't have to pay. An occasional glass panel is figured into the routine maintenance budget of any rink. A player who is breaking glass with his shots or checking guys through the glass is most likely playing at a level of hockey where someone else pays the bills in any case.|||if your shot is hard enough to break the glass, the rink owners will be begging to buy you lunch.|||rink pays unless it wasn't a game|||If you're not playing in the NHL or close to it, you're probanly not shooting or hitting hard enough to worry about it. Unless the glass is defective, then you don't have to worry about it.
