What is the best hockey skate out there for someone switching over after 21yrs of using figure skates?

I have decided to switch from figure skates to hockey skates and the bf is VERY supportive but not too helpful. Never used hockey skates before don't really know the difference between all the types... he says Bauer is the best but has also only ever skated w/ hockey skates... What is best for a beginner?|||I'd recommend CCM. I've been using them and they are comfortable. Also, they are made wide. It's a good brand since they both do low-end and high-end gear. If you're a beginner, then you should get a more cheap pair to get you used to the skating (models like the Intruders, etc) then get a better pair once you've mastered it. Bauer is decent, but I don't really like that brand for skates because they are pretty narrow. If you're looking for something more similar to recreational skating, then Reebok is the best brand for that. The boot will be more flexible than hockey skates which are stiffer.|||I think if you want to leave it at hockey skates, you should invest some money in it.

I'm using Nike Bauer Vapor. There are many different in this series but if you go to a hockey shop they'll probably show you the best skates for you.

CCM is a nice medium you might want to start with trying on a pair of those. Just make sure you dont have to much heel slippage.
